She is survived by her son, Dwight Buckley and companion, Lois Hathaway, both of Leeds, her daughter, Sharon Leslie Buckley of Leeds two grandsons, Aaron James Buckley and wife, Becky, and Brett Gilbert Buckley and wife, Teasha three great-granddaughters, Liz, Mallie, and Courtney, great-grandson, Will her brother, Kenneth Smith and wife, Rita, of Greene and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed going out for a ride just to get an ice cream. The Town of Leeds honored her with the Boston Cane which was presented to her by her son, Dwight. For many years she served as the Leeds town treasurer. They made their home in Leeds where they raised their children, Dwight and Sharon.Ĭonnie was a faithful member of the Leeds Community Church. 30, 1950, in East Monmouth, she married R. Connie served as a cadet in the Cadet Nursing Corps during World War II. She received her nursing degree from Central Maine General Hospital in Lewiston where she worked as a registered nurse in the operating room until her marriage in 1950. Peter grew up in East Oxford on the family farm until he built his forever home for him and Betty up on the hill in 1972. Peter also looked forward to the Maple Sugar Season every year. Going to hunting camp with his buddies and great friend, Dave Shelton was another activity that he loved. Peter also loved going to Oxford Plains Speedway and supporting local stock car racing along with NASCAR. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Peter enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and was a former member of the Rock O Dundee Snowmobile Club. He served in the US Navy from 1965 until 1968. Peter married his high school sweetheart Betty Sawyer Wuori on Oct. He was born on April 19, 1944, a son of Armas and Aili (Peiju) Wuori and graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1962. ![]() 8, 2021 at the Stephens Memorial Hospital, Norway due to COVID-19 complications.
